Established in 1991, museum is dedicated to preserving the history of Gwynn's Island and Mathews County.

The Mariner's Museum
Located in Newport News, VA, this is one of the largest maritime museums in North America.
Their library contains the largest maritime history collection in the Western Hemisphere.

Virginia Memory
Online presence of the Library of Virginia, the state archives and reference library, located in Richmond, VA.
Established in 1823, the Library maintains vast and varied collections of print materials, manuscripts, archival records, newspapers, photographs,
